Mathew Flett

Mathew has been in the painting industry since 2004 and has been working in BuildSmart and PaintSmart since 2009. As a fully qualified painter, and with years of experience, Mathew brings a wide range of industry knowledge and experience to his role.

As Painting Operations Manager, Mathew enjoys managing a team of skilled painters. Seeing staff achieve industry-recognised qualifications that back their practical knowledge is really rewarding. He enjoys being able to manage a whole project from start to finish; from pricing to running the project, to finishing it and analysing it overall. There are no dull days in business.

Mathew’s philosophy is that when it comes to painting, it all comes down to the prep. Preparation is the key to getting a high-quality finish, each and every time. He’s a strong believer in doing it once and doing it right.

Outside of work, you’ll find Mathew spending time with friends and family, he particularly enjoys spending time with his children riding motorbikes.
